2-Week Primal Jumpstart

While I’m more or less maintaining my primal lifestyle, the 80/20 rule has started to shift away from my favor. So for the next two weeks, I’m going to challenge myself to eat 100% primal. This isn’t to say that it’s strictly meat and greens with fat, as I’ll still have the occasional cream (organic, grass-fed) in my coffee or a some Greek yogurt here and there, but most would agree that dairy hardly breaks the deal.

I’m sticking with veggies, meat, eggs, pickled items, limited dairy and nuts and lots-o-bacon! Also, IF will be the order of the fortnight. Occasional breakfasts or lunches to switch it up on some days, but I shouldn’t have any problem sticking to dinner-only-days.

Today’s menu while at work (a depressing 7-2pm shift on a Saturday):
– 3 Hard-boiled eggs
– Grapefruit

Tonight’s:
– Grass-fed London Broil
Buttercup Squash with too much butter  🙂
– Sauteed Kale and Onions
– Tall Glass of Beef Broth (not as bad as it may sound)
– And, of course, Vitamin D and Fish Oil

I try to incorporate my experience abroad, nutritional research and ancient culinary traditions in my life. I'm not trying to change the world, but I'm taking charge of how I make my way through. Interested in paleo / primal living, or just tired of convention wisdom? Go ahead and question away.. many people don't have enough questions! Too many "whatever you say" answers, accepting "experts" regurgitated "knowledge". If you're curious about other nutritional / lifestyle options, let me know. If I don't know exactly what you need, I can at least point you in the right direction.
